“This book is a place to start creating the classroom of your dreams from the very first minute of school, a classroom that is research based, child centered, and in step with the world today.”
— Christine Hertz and Kristine Mraz
The classroom of your dreams starts with one big idea. From the first days of school to the last, Kids First from Day One shares teaching that puts your deepest teaching belief into action: that children are the most important people in the room.
Art on Display at The Woodlands Mall
A beautiful piece of artwork, created by Houser Hawks, and led by our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Beaulieu, will soon be on display in the food court at The Woodlands Mall. This art piece titled “Love Your Neighbor” was created by various 2017-2018 4th grade students and two former six grade Houser Hawks. The two six graders created the large Texas and decorated a heart each. The rest of the hearts were painted with acrylic paint by various fourth graders. The artwork symbolizes the way Texans came together to show love to one another when faced with the crisis of Hurricane Harvey. The students continue to spread kindness and love for one another like true Texans.
