Scholarships
College-bound seniors! Don't forget to apply for scholarships! Bookmark our scholarship webpage and check back often! There are a lot of local scholarships that get posted during 2nd semester, don't miss out!
- Make your application stand out! Type your information right onto the application. This makes it look more professional than a handwritten application.
- Pay close attention to due dates and where applications are to be turned in or postmarked.
- All scholarship applications that are due to the Counseling Office must be turned in by 3pm on its due date. No late applications will be accepted.
AP Exam Prep
If you are taking an AP exam in May, this resource might be useful for you. It gives you information about how to find practice resources in AP classroom as well as resources to help you prepare such as questions from real exams, scoring guidelines, and sample student responses.
What if I'm Waitlisted?
What to do if you’re deferred or waitlisted: Review your application and determine whether you want to write a letter of continued interest. And if you’re confused about the purpose of a waitlist, read this blog post by an admission director.
Careers in the Trades
On our recent visit to the Trades Fair, representatives from many unions recommended that college seniors apply during their 2nd semester. If you are interested in joining a union-check out their websites and apply early if you can! Sometimes the process can take a while but you can get a headstart now! For more information about the construction and building industry in NWI, check out this resource.
College Applications and Portals
If you are applying Regular Decision, don't forget to submit those applications! Aim to have them submitted by the middle of December.
Tutoring Help!
CHS offers Tutoring Tuesdays after school from 3-4:00pm, but did you know that we also have after-school VIRTUAL tutors?!!! This is a great resource if you need help with your classes!
If you need a tutor, check out this link to learn more!
