Merry Christmas from 5th Grade!
Tutoring will resume in January. Details to follow later!
States and Capitals
We finished up Chapter 7 and will be moving towards learning our states and capitals. We will also work in our book again starting with the French and Indian War.
Advent
In Religion we finished studying the season of Advent. Each student made a lapbook with different sections explaining the season of Advent.
Math
We are still practicing our multiplication. Right now we are working on multiplying by two digit numbers.
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the dine out night. Three of the Sisters, Sr. Rosemary, Sr. Charles Marie and Sr. Donna Marie all attended. All of them expressed how thankful they are for our prayers, cards and support. We raised a little over $200! The students were so excited to sign the card and mail them the check! Sr. Rosemary and Sr. Francesca even stopped by our room to meet us when they were at the school to collect the toys from the toy drive. We are very blessed.
Little Buddy Time!
We met with our little buddies to attend Mass at Nolan for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. When we returned we enjoyed lunch outside. We also got together to make a Christmas craft. Our trees are hanging in the hallway and KB's are in their classroom (see pictures below). We met again to work on our top secret parent gifts. We hope you like them!
Painting Trees!
Our students got together to paint Christmas trees to decorate our classrooms and hallway. Pictures of the other craft to follow after Christmas :)
St. Nicholas visited us!
5th Grade Christmas Program
The 5th graders did a FANTASTIC job at their program. They sang beautifully! A big thank you to Mrs. Duncan for all her time and effort. It paid off!
Letters to Veterans
USA Pride
We were asked by a former school parent and parishioner to write letters to some veterans that she would be traveling with on an Honor Flight. They were traveling to Washington D.C. for Pearl Harbor Observations.
Our students did a great job writing their letters and decorating the envelopes too!
This veteran is a 94 year old WWII Army nurse. She loved our letters!
Band concert
Our 5B band members did an awesome job during the Christmas band concert. All of their hard work is paying off.
The rest of 5B
So many of our classmates are in bad that this was all that was left from 5B in the audience.
