JA Chambertown - Wednesday, November 2nd
On Wednesday, November 2nd, 8th grade students will be transported to Wheeler throughout the morning with their Advisory classes to experience “Chambertown”, sponsored by the Junior Achievement Program. This hands on program will allow students to be assigned a career and then “walk around town” to create a monthly budget that would include car, house, entertainment, food, plus more.
Students will make real life choices to fit their income and decide their wants vs needs. They will have to prioritize what is most important and plan accordingly. Not only will they have to budget, but real-life situations will be presented to them; several decisions will need to be made. Student are encouraged to dress professional for this event. For more information, please see the attached letter.
