All Things Baker!
Principal's Message!
I just wanted to tell everyone thank you and I am so impressed with the spirit of giving at Baker this last week! The Stuff the Bus event was very successful! Our next event is Cornerstone's toy drive this week. Please see the flyer posted later in this newsletter. I cannot think of a better example of that giving spirit than seeing the front hallway filled with gifts to donate to Cornerstone! It truly is a fabulous manifestation of the giving season!
I also want to give a quick reminder to everyone to be kind and courteous in the carlines and during drop-off and pick-up. We have nearly 920 kiddos this year and quite honestly the fact that we can get all of the kiddos in the building in the morning efficiently and out of the building at dismissal by 3:10 at the latest, is an amazing feat! This is due in large part to everyone being kind and courteous and patient with each other and all following the procedures we have in place. I also want to thank everyone for their patience with our amazing front office staff. The work tirelessly to make sure all 920 kiddos are taken care of and get all the messages and information they need. They deserve our gratitude and grace each and everyday!
Thank you all for your support and sharing your little people with us! Please remember, at Baker Elementary we believe In a World Where You Can Be Anything . . . Be Kind!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace

Lovepacs!
Dear Parent or Guardian,
The holidays are approaching and we want to make you aware of a program
available to support families in Prosper ISD while school is not in session. For Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break and Spring Break our school district is working with Lovepacs to help families supplement their food resources.
During these extended breaks, families often need double the amount of food they typically
use due to their students being home all day from school. Lovepacs work with area schools to provide families with additional food to cover their increased need within their family by supplying food packs.
These food packs will include items such as bread, rice, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, snacks, canned vegetables, canned fruits and canned meats— enough to feed your child breakfast, lunch, and snack each day of the break.
Prior to the holiday breaks, Lovepacs will deliver food packs to the school of your choice or deliver to your home for families that choose to participate.
No identifying information about your child will be shared with Lovepacs.
More information on Lovepacs is available at http://www.Lovepacs.org/Prosper
If you would like to receive a Lovepac, please click here to complete the online form by November 14, 2019 in order to participate for Thanksgiving Break. If you need assistance with the online form or have questions, please reach out to your child’s counselor.
