Principal's Update

It's homecoming weekend and the dance tonight will cap off a packed week of events. We had a spirit filled assembly on Friday afternoon. The game last night had a huge crowd and although the outcome was not what we wanted it was an electric atmosphere.

Picture Day is Wednesday, September 28th.

Picture Day forms were given out to 9th through 11th grade students in their English class. To purchase online go to: and use the School ID code: EVTCC8JSN

If the student doesn't have an English Class, forms can be obtained in the Media Center or Main Office.

Seniors will not be given a form.

Seniors will be asked for a mailing/home address and an email (preferably a parent email).

Senior Proofs will be mailed home and or emailed with an Individual Code specific to that Senior to select the yearbook pose and to purchase any photos. No obligation to purchase.

If a Senior misses Picture Day and retake day they can go to the Prestige Studio in Westlake. Appointments needed Deadline is February 1.

Yesterday, seven area high schools joined Strongsville in a Unified Sports Flag Football tournament on Serpentini Field at Pat Catan Stadium. Unified Sports is a team sports program that brings people together. It eliminates barriers and stereotypes about people with intellectual disabilities in a fun way that engages the whole community. Unified Sports goes beyond sports training and competition to promote social inclusion and meaningful connections. Spirit Squads and SHS students were also there to cheer the players on the field! #BeTheDifference #WeAreStrongsville


Two of our math teachers at Strongsville High School are implementing innovative ways to deliver lessons in their classrooms. Mrs. Hoslar and Mrs. Diedrick are helping to foster engaged learning and making an impact with their Algebra I students. Parent Teacher Conferences

We are pleased to invite you to Parent-Teacher Conference for the first semester. Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, September 29th & Wednesday, October 5th. Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place from 3:15 pm to 6:15 pm on both days.

Thursday, September 29th will only be Face-To-Face meetings. Please note that there will not be a sign up section for Face-To-Face conferences. If you select this option you have have the opportunity to meet your student(s) teacher's in their classroom. A map will be provided for you to navigate the High School. Please continue to fill out the Form and select the Face-To-Face option. This will help our teachers prepare for the conference.

Wednesday, October 5th will only be virtual conferences through Google meetings or a phone conference. Our teachers will send you a Google Meet link if you request a virtual conference. If you request a phone call our teachers will give you a call on the number you provide in this Form.

We thank you in advance for our understanding of our time limits placed on virtual conferences. We are asking for our virtual and phone conference to last between 8 to 10 minutes max. If there is a need to continue to conference please work with our teachers to set up a time to discuss your student(s) academic record of learning at a later date.

Spirit Week

This past week the Strongsville student body showed their spirit. Whether it was country club vs. country or twinning there were many outstanding example of spirit.


This year’s Strongsville High School Athletic Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony for the Class of 2022 will be held on Saturday, October 22, beginning at 5:00pm at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. Congratulations to 16 Strongsville High School students who were recently selected as Polaris Career Center Student Ambassadors for the 2022-23 school year! These students will represent Polaris at recruitment related events and help promote Polaris to potential students. Student ambassadors must maintain a “B” or above in all Polaris classes, maintain 95% attendance, have no excessive tardies or major discipline issues, and have an instructor recommendation.

Friday Night at the Stadium - October 13th

Fright Night at the Stadium” is a Halloween-themed get together where students watch a movie on the scoreboard of the stadium and spend time together.

The event will be held on October 13th, 2022 at Pat Catan Stadium from 8:30-11:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and will be sold in the cafeteria leading up to the event and at the door.

There will be concessions available for purchase as well. All proceeds from the event will go towards The Lantern, the SHS newspaper and magazine. We hope to see you there and are looking forward to bringing back Fright Night for another year!

Last night we had a Game day type show before the game with cornhole, a live band, and food donated by our local Cane's on Pearl Rd.
