Anderson Consolidating with Crawford
Hello Crawford families,
This week was bittersweet as we learned that Anderson Elementary School would close and Crawford would become the only elementary school on base. Having taught first, second and second/third grades at Anderson for 18 years, I am personally saddened at the closure of this very special school, yet very excited to welcome K-2 students to Crawford.
As we move forward with the consolidation there is a great deal to do. We have begun by doing what most do before PCSing-cleaning out items that we no longer use. Rest assured we will work with Ms. Stansell, our Facilities Maintenance Department and the staff at Anderson and Crawford to be ready to welcome all students next August. Please view the Consolidation Frequently Asked Questions page here.
Coming up we have three days in February when students will not attend school. February 21 is a Professional Development Day, and February 22 and 23 are Parent Teacher Conferences. We look forward to talking to all of our parents and sharing the accomplishments of your children with you. Please take the time to schedule your conference with your child's teacher.
See you in the car line!

Getting Along Together
It is everyone’s responsibility to help develop and maintain a respectful, safe school environment. Here at Crawford we help students learn skills necessary to resolve conflicts and be kind through our Getting Along Together program. We have weekly Schoolwide Challenges to focus on skills, such as Stop and Stay Cool, to help students practice positive behaviors.

National School Counseling Week, Feb. 7–11, 2022
National School Counseling Week 2022, “School Counseling: Better Together,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), will be celebrated from Feb. 7–11, 2022, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. Our school counselor, Ann Kennedy, works every day with students and families in our school to provide support and access to resources along with a smiling face and positive attitude! Thank you, Ms. Kennedy!
