Anderson Consolidating with Crawford
Hello Crawford families,
This week was bittersweet as we learned that Anderson Elementary School would close and Crawford would become the only elementary school on base. Having taught first, second and second/third grades at Anderson for 18 years, I am personally saddened at the closure of this very special school, yet very excited to welcome K-2 students to Crawford.
As we move forward with the consolidation there is a great deal to do. We have begun by doing what most do before PCSing-cleaning out items that we no longer use. Rest assured we will work with Ms. Stansell, our Facilities Maintenance Department and the staff at Anderson and Crawford to be ready to welcome all students next August. Please view the Consolidation Frequently Asked Questions page here.
Coming up we have three days in February when students will not attend school. February 21 is a Professional Development Day, and February 22 and 23 are Parent Teacher Conferences. We look forward to talking to all of our parents and sharing the accomplishments of your children with you. Please take the time to schedule your conference with your child's teacher.
See you in the car line!
