CCE STUDENTS COMPLETED A SUCCESSFUL SERVICE PROJECT FOR SAFE HAVEN OF IOWA COUNTY

During MLK activities last month, students at Clear Creek Elementary learned about community service projects. As a building they collectively agreed to help Safe Haven of Iowa County as a service project. The classrooms held a competition with the overall goal of reaching 1000 items to donate to Safe Haven.

Logan Watkins, a student at CCE said, "This service project makes me feel good because we are helping pets and pets are the best!"

Friday, March 4, Mr. Ryan announced the winners. Mrs. Lanhart's class collected 329 items for first place and Mrs. Swartzendruber's class was a close second place with 307 donations. All students and staff collected over 1600 donations, exceeding their 1000 goal.
