Principal's Desk

Fabulous teachers and staff,

So we are winding down to the conclusion of our school year! Lots of amazing things have happened this year due to the amazing collaboration of our teams. We had a great Crossover Ceremony, a fantastic dance in collaboration with YMLA! Thank you to all who helped organize this event! As we look forward to successfully closing this year, let’s keep in mind SAFETY FIRST. In order for our school to be a safe environment, we must keep a vigilant eye on the common areas, particularly during arrival, dismissal and transition times. It is absolutely necessary that we all stay on duty at the required times. This strong supervision will make everyone’s work/learning environment the safest it can possibly be. As you know I have been providing you with a little more time by using the collaborative period for the end of the year requirements. We are providing you with a check out list for you to complete prior to leaving campus for the summer. Please be sure that you are still engaged in productive activities in the classrooms until the end of the year. Several of you are going to be involved in ACPs; I know your plans are emphasizing activities to promote successful ACP outcome for our scholars. Thank you for your continued support to ensure the Young Women’s STEAM Academy continues to be a leader in student success.

Improve campus climate and culture by establishing positive and rewarding relationship-building practices and maintaining a high level of responsiveness to students, staff, and community.

Key Action 2 - Quality of Instruction

Continuously improve the quality of instruction and teacher effectiveness through a culture of authentic feedback, individualized support, and collaboration.

Key Action 3 - Leadership

Expand leadership density by providing staff leadership opportunities and collaborating to establish leadership goals to maximize staff’s potential.
