CHE Update for 1/8

Coyote Staff Update

Welcome Back, 2018

Happy New Year. I would like to speak to some elaborate or mind-blowing resolutions but I like to keep it simple. I know you were all grinding hard to serve students before 2018 and I know you will double down on that work as we enter the New Year. I can't wait for this second part of the year. See you in the classroom!

PBIS Reminders

The return from a long break is the perfect time to revisit PBIS expectations. Everything PBIS related can be found here. I am working on getting it uploaded to the staff page on our website. I have placed some extra ODR's on the form counter in the staff workroom. Please make copies if you pick up the last one. Recess academy forms can also be found on the same counter top.

When re-visiting expectations today, please STRESS safe line behavior, especially on the yard.

Student of the Month--District

Melina Brown, 5th grader, will be recognized this Thursday at the FSUSD Board meeting on Hilborn. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. Hope you can make it. If you can't, please be sure to give a congrats to Melina. She is in Ms. Carnahan's class.

Benchmark Units Reminder

The Benchmark Units proposed pacing guide is here. Remember, the writing assessment we will be using is the performance task following Unit 5. That being said, Unit 5 will need to be completed by the first week of March.

Please reach out to me, Ms. Spence or Ms. Baker, or to your respective grade level IS specialists with any questions.

MAP and Skills Navigator Support (Grades 3-5)

Wednesday, Jan. 10th, 2-3pm

Library

Shelley Ghannam will be on-site on Wednesday in the library to provide high level MAP and Skills Navigator support. After our site training (that I provided), I made contact with Shelley and she walked me thru the high quality help she could provide. I think this training will be well worth your time.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.
