Panama Canal
The Panama Canal was built by the americans. It was built because it would save months of traveling, and it would save a dangerous journey by sea. It took the americans 10 years to build the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal is a lock-and-lake canal. It works by having a series of lakes with different elevations that are connected by a series of locks.
Save the Rain Forest Wildlife
Toucans usually are in the canopy. They are not endangered, so they are not very impacted by the deforestation. If the deforestation keeps going on, then the toucans won't have anything to eat and no place to live.
Air Pollution in Mexico City
In Mexico City there is lots of air pollution. One problem is that there are a lot of people in Mexico City, so there are lots of cars to make pollution. An other thing is that since the there are high elevations, fuels don't burn. Some solutions are that there are new restrictions on car use, and the city promotes public transportation.
