Principal's Message
Thank you to all the staff that supported in anyway to our Literacy Night. Shout out to Ms. Fletcher Tyson and her team for all their hard work to pull this event off!!! The scholars were so excited to come play reading games and their families got to learn some cool tools to help their scholars become better readers as well as obtain info to get ready for our next round of STEP testing! Kudos to a wonderful night of fun and learning!

School Wide Focus
Scholar Support & Interventions
Just a quick reminder that this month we are focusing on scholar support! All RTI-Academic small groups for Tier 2 & Tier 3, S-Team interventions, and RTI-Behavior Tier 2 interventions have begun. Please ensure all scholars are receiving the supports they need. Remember our EEP vision is a holistic approach to scholar development through academics, character, and virtues in order to prepare them for college and beyond. We will be completing fidelity checks to ensure interventions are being implemented and they are happening at the scheduled time! See additional info from your Deans of Academics below.
Important Operations Information
Grandparents Luncheon:
We are so excited to celebrate our amazing EEP grandparents with a Grandparents' Luncheon at EEP on Friday, September 13th. Grandparents are RSVPing to the PTO email and a flyer will go home this week with their scholar's lunch time.
Reminders
Homework should be checked everyday and incomplete homework should be logged into LiveSchool. Parents should also be notified through a phone call or text explaining what was missing and a time frame to fix it for extenuating circumstances. Scholars can be issued a consequence to finish homework during the school day by taking part of active play or make it up during a fun activity time. Check with your coaches for further support in deciding an appropropriate time to do this. If a scholar has reached five instances of HW not being completed this letter needs to be sent home and can be found here.
SHOUT OUT: To Belmont, Elon, and Lipscomb for tagging incomplete HW in Liveschool already for the month of September!! Remember our goal is college and beyond so reinforcing good study habits starts now with 100% HW completion. You can find the 100% HW Jean Day Letter here that can be sent home Thursday nights for the Friday Jean Day!
Deans of Academics
Please ensure that all scholars in Tier 2 and 3 are receiving their interventions four days a week (minimum). Please benchmark your scholars on Aimsweb on Friday, September 13th. You should receive your login information this week if you haven’t already.

Dean of SEL
So sorry about the missed lessons this week! I will be reaching out to schedule lessons next week. We are still focusing on facial expressions and feelings this upcoming week!
LIM Habit of the Week: Habit #3 - Put First Things First
Work first then play.
In class, I focus only on the content and don’t let other things get in the way.
I spend the full time working hard during center time and independent practice because I know active play or the end of the day is just around the corner.
I make the most out of class by listening carefully to my teachers and my friends utilizing my habits of discussion.

Lindsey's mom's incredibly well-fought battle with breast cancer has ended. Lindsey & Matt have both dropped everything to care for her during this last stage of the fight, and I know we'd all love to do something to help lessen the load of all that's to come in these next few months. Danielle & Caroline M. will keep you posted on any delivery location changes with plenty of notice.
