Veterans Day Performance

Thank you to members of our Wind Ensemble for their work in preparing this performance for our Veterans.

Donation Need

We are running low on puppy pads that our wind players use to empty their water onto. We have updated the Amazon Wish list to include some. If you are able to donate via amazon or by dropping off at Scoggins we would be very appreciative!

Spirit Night Success!

Thank you to all the families that went out and supported the band by having dinner at The Grind Burger Bar. This was by far one of our most successful Spirit Nights. THANK YOU!!

Beginning Band Practice Requirements

Students are expected to practice 10 minutes a day 5 days a week. We will increase practice time requirements throughout the year as we advance in ability. The following can count towards a students practice time:

  • Musicracer.com(No more than 3 minutes a day)

Students should simulate the structure established in class for their own practice session. Make sure they are sitting in a chair that does NOT have wheels or arm rests. The more frequently a child practice their instrument the quicker they will progress! After each practice session student MUST fill out a Google Form documenting their practice. Please note that a child must list what they practiced, as well as how long. In attempt to establish good habits documentation must occur on the day of the practice session. Students who submit multiple logs on one day will have a 5 point deduction for every late entry for a maximum weekly grade of 75. All submissions are due Sunday by midnight, and will count as a weekly grade.
