Egg Harbor Township High School
Week of February 6, 2022
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Greetings,
Here’s some awesome things that happened this week at EHT High School! Makes us proud to be a part of such a great school and community of learners! #EHTPRIDE
On February 9 and February 11, students from our Academy of Law and Business took an in district field trip to the middle schools for the day. Their purpose was to share with our middle school students information about the Academy of Law and Business. This included programs, courses, co curricular activities, and senior experience (internship).
On February 9 we had four students, Rachel Yushan, Zion Woodford, Francesca Longo and Raul Restrep, join in on a zoom meeting with many Cape Atlantic high schools and their students to participate in the Coalition Teen Summit. This is an ongoing series of meetings discussing many topics such as school violence and life after the pandemic. Believing in student voice, educators lead the summit and plan for a conference in March at ACCC.
Our PACE program continues to thrive well. Our Cohort 1 students had hands-on job training opportunities on February 10, at the New Jersey Manufacturing Exploration Program (NJMEP) location in Bellmawr. Cohort 2 had the opportunity on Friday, February 11.
Our Varsity Boys Basketball is on fire! They squeaked by St. Joes this past Monday for the win and then on Wednesday handed the undefeated Prep their first loss as our boys pounded them to a 76-51 win and bragging rights! Catch the boys against Holy Spirit tonight, Friday, at 5:30!

Until next week, have a wonderful weekend! Stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!

COMMUNITY PRIDE
Student Assistance Program and Resources
The High School has adopted a new bullying-prevention program for this school year!
#DAY1--a staff and student-led philosophy that will serve to foster a building-wide atmosphere of kindness and inclusion.
This program was started a few years ago in Bergen County by the Tyler Clementi Foundation and has gained momentum throughout the state and country for use in schools, community groups, workplaces, and sports teams. We even have 3 of our own students who were selected by the foundation as leaders for this initiative!
The premise is simple: the adults in the building make a “declaration statement” about behavior that is expected, as well as behavior that is unacceptable, and we all pledge to conduct ourselves accordingly. This includes seeking help when we witness unacceptable behavior occurring.
This notion is called being an #Upstander.
Has your student taken their #Upstander Pledge yet?!?
Have them sign into their school account and click here! 😊
