YEARBOOK ORDER DEADLINE APRIL 16

Yearbooks are advancing nicely. This year may be odd but it will be one to remember. For the first time in PRMS history, TRACK will be included in the yearbook!!


IF you have not had a chance to purchase your yearbook yet you can still do so in two ways.

1. Print out form HERE, attach money and bring it up to the school OR

2. Order online with a credit card:

  • Log into PowerSchool

  • Select MySchoolBucks (bottom left-hand corner) If you have not logged into this system before, you will need to set up an account. In the future you will go directly to the Meal Accounts page.

  • GO TO MSB (top right-hand corner)

  • School Store (along top ribbon)

  • Yearbooks

  • PRMS Yearbooks

  • Select student and add to basket

  • Go to cart (upper right-hand corner) and pay with credit card. There are no processing charges for paying fees in MySchoolBucks.

2021-2022 TRANSFER REQUEST INFORMATION

USD 231 Families,

For those families interested , We have opened the Intra-district and Non-Resident Transfer Request application for the 2021-2022 school year from March 15- April 23 for any students/families that seek to attend a USD 231 school that is not within his/her primary geographic attendance boundary. If you would like to apply for a transfer, please complete the form on the appropriate link below. Please complete one form per student. See the attached guidelines for additional information.


**If you applied for the 2020-2021 school year you DO NEED TO REAPPLY. This is an annual process for all students.

Absence Reporting

PowerSchool

Hopefully you have all had time to create a new PowerSchool account. We have transitioned from Skyward to PowerSchool, so if you haven't received your Access ID and Password for each of your students, please contact the school office. See below for instructions:


To get started using PowerSchool Parent Portal you must first create a Parent Account. For additional resources please view Creating a Parent Account Step Sheet and Video under PowerSchool Parent Resources on the USD231 website.


To create your account you will need to follow these steps:

1. Open an Internet browser on your computer
2. Enter https://usd231.powerschool.com/public into the address bar
3. Select the Create Account tab and select the Create Account button
4. Enter Parent Account Details

5. Enter Student Access Information for each of your students. (Each student’s Web Access ID and Password will be sent in separate emails.)

6. Select Enter
7. Check your email for a PowerSchool verification email from PowerSchool@usd231.com (Verification email will expire within 24 hours)

NUTRITION SERVICES

Just a reminder... Although school meals are free for the 2020-2021 school year, students are still welcome to bring a lunch from home as they desire. Please note that although these students will still be permitted to purchase milk or juice ($0.55 each) to accompany their lunch from home, these individual items are not covered by the program. Only complete meals are available for free. Weekly balance reminders are sent to families whose students' account balances fall below zero due to these types of purchases.

TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGES

The Gardner Edgerton School District Technology Department will provide district tech support for our students who are working remotely. Non-emergency issues can be emailed anytime to

helpdesk@usd231.com. Time sensitive issues can be reported by phone from 8am-8pm on school days at 913-856-2020. Tech support will work with you to resolve technical challenges.


Should you have a broken Chromebook, please contact our school office at 856-3850, to schedule time for picking up a new one. Note - When returning your chromebook, please include charger as well.


USD 231 cannot provide internet services to families. A limited number of “hot

spots” are available for families, the application for a “hot spot” is available HERE.

Appointments Needed for Office Visits

Our school office is currently open and running on a limited schedule. We ask that you call ahead to make an appointment (913.856.3850). All visitors will be asked to wear face coverings during their appointment time. Thank you for your cooperation.
