The North Texas Teen Book Festival is proud to host Books, Books, Books: A Symposium for Educators @ NTTBF, sponsored by the Educational Service Centers of Region X and XI and Sam Houston State University.

Professional Development Sessions

Join Sam Houston State University professors Drs. Teri Lesesne, Rose Brock, and Karin Perry along with special guest authors for an exploration of three topics:

  • Is Any Book Ever Safe?: Selection v. Censorship;
  • Diversity is More Than a Hashtag; and
  • Label Making v. Label Breaking


A special ticketed Author luncheon will precede the staff development beginning at noon. Tickets will be available soon for the luncheon through the NTTBF website and you MUST purchase tickets in advance.

Luncheon is optional ticketed event with special guest authors: Sarah Dessen, E. Lockhart, Ruta Sepetys! Cost: $45


North Texas Teen Book Festival

Saturday, April 23rd, 8am-5pm

500 West Las Colinas Boulevard

Irving, TX

The FREE festival will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the keynote speakers starting things off at 8:30 a.m. Tons and tons of panel discussions will be offered throughout the day and conclude with an endnote speaker. Author signings will start at 3:30 p.m.
