Mrs. Sullinger
We have started our unit over Earth Systems and are learning about the Earth’s Surface. We are studying weathering, soil, and erosion and deposition. We completed a lab where students had different Earth materials (soil, gravel, and sand) and then used a protractor to find the angle of repose to see at what angle these materials become hazardous.

Art
6th grade artists are learning how to use one-point perspective to draw a 3D room. We are combining the Surrealism art movement to incorporate Surrealist elements into our room. *Surrealism is an art movement from the 1920s that tried to show the unconscious mind often resulting in strange, dreamlike expressions.

World Language
6th grade has worked diligently on learning Spanish this past week! We have started learning the alphabet and numbers 0-10. We began learning Spanish by reciting the alphabet song and they are now able to sing from memory. They are also able to count to 10 in Spanish by singing a song from memory. The Spanish Country Project grades were posted this week for those who turned them in. The kids found the project fun and very informative!
