Soldiers won't be quartered in a home during peacetime and during a time of war, they need to have the owners permission, and the process has to be "prescribed by law".Amendment's Exact Words:
No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Forbids cruel, strange punishments, and unreasonable fines and bail won't be charged.Amendment's Exact Words:
