From CCPS Central Office: Book Study Opportunity
Dear Families, Teachers, and Staff:
I would like to encourage you to engage in a book study with me. We will be reading “Lost at School”, written by Ross W. Greene, Ph.D. This is one of his books that will reveal some of the behavioral approaches that he has produced through his life’s work. Calvert County School District has been training teams for quite a few years and we are embarking upon a train-the trainer model to increase the knowledge of these approaches to teachers and those who support our students across the county.
Please join me for this virtual “Koffee with Kendy” book study. Sessions will be held on the following Saturdays from 9-10am:
January 27th, 2024 – Chapters 1 & 2
February 3rd, 2024 – Chapters 3 & 4

CHS Career Advisor
Let’s talk about Tech! It’s more important now than ever for students to leave high school with an understanding of advancements in technology and how the latest developments are shaping future jobs.
High school students are keenly aware of how technology has shaped culture, communication, and entertainment, but are they dialed in to what effect technology will have on the job market they are about to enter? Are you interested in virtual reality, 3D printing, or drones? These jobs, as well as others, spur the demand for tech savvy recruits. When considering new emerging technology careers, students want to begin thinking about options for training, education, and certifications now.
Overall, “talking about tech” in high school involves having a conversation about your special skills, interests, and experiences that match with today’s job market. Mrs. Boyle can help facilitate conversations about what makes you unique and your vision for the future. Access her appointment calendar through the following link: https://bit.ly/CHSBoyle
