Operation Santa Pants
GES students participated in the 2nd annual Santa’s Pants Project on December 9th, collecting 17 bags of toys that were donated to Godley Community Outreach for children in Godley this Christmas. Students paraded through the halls singing Christmas carols while dropping toys in an enormous pair of Santa’s pants on the cafeteria stage. Santa himself even made an appearance for the event. We are so proud of our students and their giving hearts!
Third Grade Square Dance
The third grade class performed a square dancing routine for their Music program this year on November 29 at Del Norte Tacos. This was a joint effort with all the extra classes including Music and PE. The evening was a huge success. The students were able to use the outdoor venue and they did an amazing job. We would like to thank Del Norte for allowing us to have our program at the restaurant and thank the parents for bringing their kids and being so supportive. Great job third grade!

5th Grade Colonial Day
Colonial Day was a huge success!
Intermediate fifth grade students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of real-life Colonial Day activities. Students learned how to preserve food without refrigeration, make johnny cakes, butter, rope, and candles.
Students were able to interact with livestock, learn how to become apprentices by participating in artisan tin punch and quilting activities that inspired and engaged students. Students learned how to play the old fashioned way by creating whirligigs using a variety of Colonial games, such as pick up sticks, jacks, and blind man’s bluff.
The fifth grade team would like to thank all of our volunteers, FFA students, and other administrators that helped with our festivities.
Thanks!
