Dear Fathers and Father Figures,

We are happy to share that we are ready to take another step toward getting back to normal! We are now able to start welcoming small numbers of volunteers, including WATCH D.O.G.S., back into the building. You are so important to our students and staff. The work you do has an impact, and you have definitely been missed!

If you are unfamiliar with the National WATCH D.O.G.S. program, please take a few minutes to learn more here: https://dadsofgreatstudents.com/ .

We will begin welcoming Neihardt’s WATCH D.O.G.S. back the week of April 12th with a modified schedule. Volunteers will report to the office to check in by 10:45 a.m. You will assist with recesses and lunches beginning at 10:50 and ending at 1:10, on Wednesdays and Fridays only. We ask that at this time you only sign up to be a WATCH D.O.G. once to allow everyone the opportunity to volunteer in our building. Please sign up here:

https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0a4eacaf2caaff2-202021.

For the time being, some WATCH D.O.G. duties have been modified and/or removed to comply with safety measures. Millard Public Schools has created guidelines to keep our buildings safe, and we are keeping the number of volunteers small during this spring semester. As we step into allowing guests back into our building, we must let you know that: It is important, if after your time in our school you test positive for COVID-19, that you notify the school immediately so we can conduct all necessary contract tracing. In addition,

● A mask must be worn at all times

● You will be screened before entry to the building

● 6 feet of distance must be kept between you, the students, and the staff

● Hands will be sanitized before, during, and after your visit

The Millard Covid-19 Information page ( https://www.mpsomaha.org/covid-19) is available to help assist in deciding if now is the right time for you to volunteer. Information is updated daily.

If you are ready and able to make a difference by being a WATCH D.O.G., please call the school office at 402-715-8360. We can’t wait to see you!

Dear Parents and Guardians of Neihardt Elementary,

The district is partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning.

We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our school questionnaire. Your participation is essential to help us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in our students’ lives, and will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy. The questionnaire will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

If you have children in more than one school in Millard, you will receive a separate email from each school. It is not necessary for you to complete more than one survey, but your willingness to do so will provide each building principal with your feedback.

The last day to complete this questionnaire is Friday, May 7, 2021. Please respond using the link below:

www.BByt.es/WL2RP

Thank you for taking part in this important initiative!

Sincerely,

Dr. Brad Sullivan
