Corron Mission Statement:
From the Principal:
Thank you to all of the parents that were able to join us at Curriculum Nights over the past week. These evenings are such an important time for our families and staff members to connect so that we can work as a team to support students.
As I shared last week, we are continuing our work related to Social-Emotional Learning this year. We are excited that we will have the opportunity to share some of that work with our D303 Board of Education this coming Monday, September 9th. Please come join us to hear about our SEL goal as well as to hear from students about the impact of this work on themselves and their interactions with each other. Our meeting will start at 7:00, and the Corron presentation should be done around 7:30.
We would love to see everyone there!
Mrs. Balaskovits

Coyote Speed Running Club (Catch us if you can!)
The Coyote Speed Club is being offered to 3rd-5th grade students with a limited number of participants.
*Students must already be able to run at least one mile and will be tested on the first day in order to sign up, due to safety concerns on the trails and the limited amount of coaches. Please check that they are able to run at least one time around the lake trail (across from Corron on McDonald Road) prior to signing up.
We want to ensure that students are committed to the club and ask that students are able to participate the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. We will meet at 3 p.m. and ask that children are picked up at 3:50 p.m.
Keep in mind, there are only 30 slots available. Again, your child must be able to run at least one mile, without stopping, to secure their spot. After our first meeting on October 7th, if your child was able to run the complete mile, we will send a form home with club information. At that point, the total cost would be $25, which will include an official Coyote Speed Club shirt and an end of of the year party!
Forms coming home 1st week of September.
