Hough Eats Out on March 20th

Or eats in a restaurant. Or carries home. Hough is not required to hunt its own prey and cook it over an open flame.

Hit up Savory Salads from 11 am - 7 pm on March 20. Tell them you're a real Hougher and a portion of the bill will be donated back to Hough!

Helping Hawks Community Service Fair

All Hough families are invited to join us on Saturday, April 6th in the Hough Gym for a service fair! Come between 9 - 11am to join in the fun! (EDITORIAL NOTE: We know we talk a lot about how 'fun' all these events are. Do you believe us? Is that word motivating? Do you, in fact, even want or need more fun in your life? Is there another emotional or spiritual need that you'd like our slate of after-school programming to address? let us know. Reach out to hawkingawesome@gmail.com. We're here for you.)

Families will rotate through multiple stations, each hosting fun and creative projects to that benefit the local community. Contact Cami at houghservice@gmail.com with any questions. Please RSVP for this event (so we have enough materials for everyone) at: https://2019houghservicefair.eventbrite.com/

Earth Week Comes to Hough

Hough’s Environmental Awareness Committee is planning a fun Earth Week celebration for April 22-26. We'd love your help! Unless you're a Martian, ALF or the ghost of David Bowie. Our Mars Week activities are slated for mid-August. Stay tuned!

Earth Week volunteers are needed for events during the week and for general planning. For more info, contact Renee Blue reneecblue@gmail.com.

Mom/Son Kickball Night on May 17th

Our daughters get a themed dance with their dads, decor and dresses. Our sons get kickball with their Moms.

Get ready to sweat, run and curse the inventor of kickball on Friday, May 17th, at 5:30 pm. Details and registration to come!

School Board Candidate Forum on March 13

Referendum Question for April 2nd Election

The school district will have a referendum question on the April 2, 2019 general election ballot. You can visit the new referendum section of the Barrington 220 website to learn more about the proposed improvements to the district. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions, estimates on how the referendum may impact your taxes, and specific plans for each Barrington 220 school.

If the referendum passes, it is estimated that the owner of a $500,000 home would pay an additional $100 more in annual property taxes, which amounts to less than $2 per week, or 27 cents per day.
