Surfside Shark Bites
Week of: February 27 - March 3
A Note From Principal Frandsen
Happy Friday, Surfside families!
My hope is that you are all dried out after a wet couple of weeks.
I'm excited to report to you all the great things that happened at Surfside this past couple of weeks. Our Sharks basketball team went undefeated and took first place in the tournament for all schools in the division - go Sharks! Our elementary school choir is preparing for its next performance and it's coming along beautifully. We have had several early graduates that have committed to various colleges, tech schools, and the military. Our support night to help students and parents fill out their FAFSA's was a big success. Our Surfside seniors were offered the opportunity to tour the local community colleges, 4-year colleges, and trade schools. The tour was very well received by our students.
On a different note, our Surfside team would appreciate it if you would please check with your student to make sure they are getting their work done and showing up to school on time if they are coming to school in person. We are starting to see an uptick in tardies and consequently in missing assignments. We are acutely interested in the success of every student and we want to make sure there are no surprises. Both you and your student should be able to look Aeries and easily determine both grades and attendance. If you need assistance with this please contact your teacher.
Thank you,
Principal Frandsen
