At this point in the year, our school supplies seem to have either run out, or disappeared. Please check with your child to see if they are in need of new supplies. There are many students missing red grading pens, pencils, scissors and glue. All of my extras have been loaned out, and sadly, not returned to me.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Conference time is coming up quickly. Forms have gone home already asking that you indicate your preference for a conference on Thursday, February 12th from 3:00pm - 8:00pm or Friday, February 13th from 11:00am - 4:00pm. Please return these as soon as possible so that we may get the conferences scheduled. The final notice informing you of your scheduled conference time will go home on Friday, February 6th.

Young Authors

This year, third grade students are given the chance to submit their writing talents for the Young Authors competition. This is voluntary - not required. One representative from each homeroom will be chosen for the Young Authors conference on Saturday, April 25.

The Young Author story must include the following:

  • Setting (Where and When)

  • Characters (Who)

  • Problem (What is the main problem)

  • Solution (How is the problem solved)

Final drafts, which may be handwritten or typed, are due Wednesday, February 4.
