Hat Days & Collection Efforts To Make A Difference In Our Community...

Principals’ Weekly Update

Parents & Guardians:

November has been a very busy month here at CMS. So many great things are happening in our school. I really appreciate all of the family efforts for bringing in non-perishable food items (the winning homeroom gets a surprise). Additionally, the money raised from Hat Days and various donations is beginning to add up. It's always a great feeling when I load up my truck with all of the food and bring it to Darlene at CHIP-IN. It gets even better when I hand her all of the cash and checks donated, which supports the purchase of food for families in need. This will be the final week of collections, so please help if you can? Checks can be made payable to: CHIP-IN and can be delivered to me at school. Again, thank you to all those who are able to help out - every little bit makes a difference. More importantly, I love watching students get involved in the spirit of giving and helping others.

I hope everyone has an amazing week!

School News:

Annual CHIP-IN Food Drive & Donation Collection

Between now and November 25th, we will begin our annual campaign for supporting our local food pantry: CHIP-IN. Will will be having a contest to see what homeroom can bring in the most non-perishable can goods. All food items will be stored in the homerooms until Monday, November 25th. Let's see how much of a difference we all can make for our community! Also, last year we raised over $2,200.00 for this cause as well. We will have collection jars out to collect change and small donations. If you would like to get involved with us, please feel free to make a check payable to: CHIP-IN and drop it off at our school. This is such a great event each year and we couldn't do it without your support. Please e-mail me directly with any questions at
