Bearkitten Book Banter
September 1st, 2022
Welcome to our 1st Edition
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Bearkitten Book Banter is to inform everyone how much reading is being done at Bossier Elementary. You can be a part of this, no matter what your grade.
4th and 5th Graders can become founding members of the Bossier Bibliophiles. A bibliophile is someone who likes to read. The only requirement to be a Bossier Bibliophile is to be in 4th or 5th grade, walk home at the end of the day, and have a desire to read. Bossier Bibliophiles will have a monthly meetings. Our first meeting will be on Monday, September 12 from 3:15 until 4:15.
Students of any grade can record a Book Talk and have it placed here for everyone to see. There will be a limit of one published Book Talk per grade per issue.
Book Banter
What's banter?
Banter is a friendly conversation. You have the chance to record a video discussing a book that you have read with a friend and have it posted here. Did you like the book? Would you recommend it to others? Was it funny or scary? Share your reading knowledge and let others know. Email your friendly librarian, Ms. May, and let her know that you are ready to banter. andrea.may@bossierschools.org
Until we have our very first Book Banter, here's a book that Ms. May personally recommends. Be Nice to Spiders. AR Test Number 45860
