CNU Engage Update
September 21, 2020
Happy Monday, Captains!
As the semester gets busier, we want to make sure you have everything you need to stay involved in the community! If you need help or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! This newsletter is full of opportunities, many of which are virtual. And as always, remember the 21st night of September (see the bottom of this email for a fun surprise).
We recently added a list of Training and Enrichment opportunities on the website. This was created so that CNU students have a list of resources to learn more about service and the Newport News community. These opportunities can count towards service hours.
If you haven't already, we encourage you to read through our COVID Guidelines for Engagement, along with new remote and updated in-person opportunities. For anyone interested in finding out more information about Service Tracks, we will be hosting virtual Service Track Information Sessions, which are all listed in the graphic below. If you are concerned about how COVID is affecting Service Distinction, please check out the updated guidelines on the website.
If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to set up an appointment with our staff or student workers. Click here to find our information and availability.

The organization is seeking mentors and capacity building interns for their fall and winter sessions as well as mentees. Mentees applicants should be students in grades 6-12 at Title 1 schools. Since the program is all done virtually, they can be located anywhere geographically!
