Who did you interview for this project?
For this project I interviewed my father. His name is Robb Rasmussen. His birthday is on July 30th. He was originally born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, but when he was really young he moved to Cranston, Rhode Island. Also his middle school picture is in a yearbook here at Park View.

1. What years were you in middle school?
My dad was in middle school from 1980-1983.
2. What kinds of music, movies, and fashions were popular at the time?
The kinds of music that was popular were disco, and rock and roll. A disco song that was popular was Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. A rock and roll song that was popular was Back In Black by ACDC. For movies there was Star Wars Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Fashions were members only jackets, jean jackets, and legwarmers.

3. What were your favorite activities in middle school? What were your hobbies/interests?
My dad's favorite activities in middle school were playing tennis, swimming, and lunch. His hobbies/interest was wrestling.
4. What job/interests/activities do you have now? Is there a connection between what you like back then and what you enjoy today?
Job/interest/activities that my dad likes/has now is that his job is being an 8th grade science teacher at Park View Middle School. His interests/activities that he likes now are working with computers, playing the guitar, and being a dad.
5. What was the best part about being in middle school?
My dad says that the best part about middle school was being part of a team.
6. What was the worst part?
My dad says that the worst part about being in middle school was waking up earlier.
7. How would you desribe your middle school self?
My dad would describe his middle school self as a blank canvas.
8. What advice about growing up would you give to kids my age?
The advice my dad would give is take advantage of the time you have and expose yourself to as many learning opportunities as you can.
9. What were the names of your friends in middle school?
The names of my dads friends in middle school were Scott, Tim, Jay, and Bruce.
10. What was your favorite subject in middle school?
My dads favorite subject was Science
