The Unappreciated Hero
The Hero That Does More Than You Realize
Realizing...
How do you characterize a hero? Muscular, slaying creatures, and getting the girl? Often times, people don't realize who the real heroes are. You may be face to face with them everyday. I'm talking about the men and women of the United States Marine Corps that are willing to put their lives on the line to protect our way of life.
How Are They Heroes?
When people think of Marines, they tend to see images of Blue Dress and polished shoes. They forget the fact that our service men and women fight for our country, freedom, and way of life. People often take for granted the everyday freedoms they enjoy, like walking down the street, being able to go to the store if they need to, and even being able to go to the bathroom when needed. Marines are not only well-disciplined, but they are very passionate about what they do and believe. They happily lay their lives on the line for us.
What Are The Traits Of A Marine?
Bravery
Marines are the textbook definition of bravery. They are constantly going into unknown, potentially dangerous, situations without fear.
Leadership
Few people become Marines, even fewer have the skills and traits to lead Marines. All Marines are trained to act effectively and quickly in order to protect their fellow Marines and resolve the matter.
Respect
Marines display the highest level of respect, not only for their superiors but everyone around them. Marines are the most well-disciplined individuals.
The Training Heroes Endure...
Though Marine Corps Basic Training isn't exactly a walk in the park, it is a critical step in molding recruits into heroes. Not only do they endure the physical aspect of basic training, they also have the emotional and mental aspect. They will develop those traits and core values that make them Marines.
