Mysterious Powder
Lab Report
tests
The tests that our group chose to do are: Iodine, physical properties, PR, and litmus. We chose these tests to see if it had these following things: For starch to see the ph and to see the physical properties to see if it had the same properties as other powders and it did witch means it is a mix. We also had pr test to see if it is an acid or an base and it was a base.
Physical properties
This Picture shows the physical properties test and it also shows that this mysterious powder has some same physicals properties as other powders and that means that it is a mix between them.
Pr test
This picture shows the pr test and that turned it pink witch means that it is an base and acid is gold
Litmus paper
This picture shows the litmus test. The litmus turned yellow which means it has a ph of 8 and that is a base. You can tell if it is an acid or an base by 6 or below is an acid and 8 and above are bases.
Iodine test
This picture shows the iodine test.It was a positive starch test and that means that it has green in it.
Results
For the Iodine test we have starch init witch means that it has green in it. We did the physical properties and we think it has some yellow or purple in it. We did the test with alcohol and it fizzed so we think it has red in it.
