Every Student Learning Every Day
Monday, September 14th the West Ada School District will move into the Yellow category of the Fall Reopening Plan.
Yellow means that classes will meet on an alternating day schedule depending on their assigned Team (see chart below). The hybrid/alternating schedule is shown below. Students are required to attend class on campus on their designated Team day.
For example:
- If your student is on Team 1, they are required to attend class on campus for T1 days.
- If your student is on Team 2, they are required to attend class on campus for T2 days.
- The days students are physically at home, it is the expectation for students to continue to learn and work independently on the tasks assigned by the teacher through MS TEAMS.
Students are expected to bring their school or personal laptop charged and ready to engage in classes on the RHS campus.
School laptops will be available from the library for temporary use while on campus for students who do not have a personal device.
UPDATE: Charging cords for Junior and Senior laptops have not yet arrived. These devices will be distributed once the cords are received.

This calendar indicates the T1 and T2 days on which students are expected to attend classes on campus.
- The new two-lane entrance is just west of the old entrance, marked by a new sign.
- The entrance driveway includes a roundabout that will need to be navigated.
- If you are following a school bus, USE CAUTION!! The bus may need to use parts of BOTH lanes in order to navigate the roundabout.
- ALL drivers will need to remain in the LEFT lane at the roundabout in order to enter the high school campus.
- We are asking parents to turn LEFT into the Staff Parking Lot (see diagram below) after navigating the roundabout when dropping off and picking up their students to avoid congestion in front of the high school.
- Student drivers will turn RIGHT into the Student Parking Lot after negotiating the roundabout.
- All drivers will leave campus using the Main Exit.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation with the new traffic pattern.

COVID 19 Requirements
As per School Board Meeting September 8, 2020
Throughout the duration of the current pandemic, students will be required to wear cloth face coverings or face shields. Students will be allowed mask breaks when determined necessary by the teacher and appropriate social distancing can be maintained. Medical accommodations will be made for students with proper documentation from a physician. The physician’s documentation will be routed to the school nurse who will then document the accommodation in PowerSchool. Prior arrangements, based on a team decision, for students enrolled in special populations will be honored. Violations of these requirements will lead to disciplinary action.
Here are some tips to aid in this:
- One of the most important things to remember is that children are great at mirroring what they see from the adults in their lives.
- Have multiple masks so you can wash them daily and have backups ready.
- Masks must meet dress code guidelines.
- Label your student's masks clearly with a permanent marker so they are not confused with those of others.
- Explain the importance of wearing a mask and how it protects other people from getting sick.
- As a family, model wearing masks, especially when you are in situations where physical distancing is impossible or difficult to maintain.
Choose masks that:
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
- Completely cover the nose and mouth
- Are secured with ties or ear loops
- Include multiple layers of fabric
- Allow for breathing without restriction
- Can be washed and machine dried without damage or change to shape
RHS masks and gaiters are available for purchase through MySchoolFees or at the bookkeeper's office.
