The Linne Roar
March 21, 2019
Updates and Reminders...
It's not too late to purchase your tickets for the FCVL Luau. Join us tomorrow night for a evening filled with fun, good food, and great raffle/auction opportunities. It would be wonderful to see a strong participation from the Linne staff members! Tickets are available for purchase at the door. Feel free to leave your car at Linne and walk over to the venue (Michelle's Ballroom).
At our next grade level meeting (March 28th) we will be asking you about the consumables and subscriptions that you will need for the 2019-20 school year. Be prepared to let us know the magazines and online resources that you would like us to order for your students.
CTU Faculty Schedule Vote
You will be asked your opinion on our Daily Schedule, selecting either Model 1 or Model 2. See below.
Model 1: A.M. coverage (Two 15 minute Periods Per Week in the Morning 8:00-8:15) or
Model 2: A combination of released grade level meetings (Eleven 60 minute periods throughout the school year) and 1 released Principal Directed PD day on January 31, 2020
You will also be asked to make a decision on how we use our Flexible Professional Days.
The choices are:
I wish to waive the provisions of Article 19-1 in the following way: Use 1 flex day (June 18, 2020) as scheduled and convert 2 flex days (August 26, and August 27, 2019) to 8 sessions of 90-minute PD after school. PD days would take place from 3:00-4:30 on 9/18; 10/16; 12/18; 1/15; 2/19; 3/18; 4/15; 5/20 or
I do not wish to waive the provisions of Article 19-1 and flexible PD days will be scheduled on August 26, 27, 2019 and June 18, 2020.
A notice will be posted three days prior to the vote. Ballots and voting will be available on March 29, 2019 between 7:45 and 8:00 at the statue. Your opinion matters, please exercise your right to vote!
Clerk's Corner
Frontline and Kronos are two very separate entities. If you are not familiar with how to use either of these platforms, please ask me, or call me before 8 pm at 708-267-9965. After 8 pm watch the tutorials.
Parent Volunteers : Please make sure that your parents are registered and approved before going on any trips. If you are not sure, email me.
Field trips: Make sure all money and check requests are turned in at least one week in advance. Make sure the lunchroom manager receives a copy of the field trip lunch request 3 - 4 weeks prior to the field trip.
Just Ask Jess
I know that this sounds like a broken record.....but please make sure that data is being placed into MTSS. This needs to be a percentage point and there needs to be at least a total of five to ten points per intervention. Please do not refer students until this has been completed. If you need help, please just ask Jess.
ESPecially for ESPs
Don't forget to use Frontline to report any absences. This is required for all staff (with the exception of Security and Ruthie). If you're not sure how Frontline works, see Gina or log on to watch the tutorials.
Parra's Pearls of Wisdom
I had a few minutes with the Jimenez family yesterday afternoon and they were extremely grateful for all the contributions that included, clothing, food, gift cards & cash. They wanted to thank you all for your generosity.
