LIVING AMENDMENTS PBL
Students will continue their work on our next PBL. The driving question is Why is it important to have a contemporary understanding of the Constitution and its amendments?
This week, students submitted their first current events article and multi-paragraph reflection related to their assigned amendment and how the news article answers the driving question.
Students submitted paragraphs D and E which explains the rights their assigned amendment gives, the year the amendment was ratified, and how the amendment benefits the citizens of our country.
Next week, students will watch the movie “Future Fright” and explain the need for the Bill of Rights. Students will identify and analyze the Bill of Rights violations in the movie. Students will begin creating an original art piece. This could be a drawing, a three dimensional piece, or a digital creation. The piece helps the student answer the driving question. Students will capture progress with a picture or video.
Optional Journal: Students had an opportunity to write about the effect Covid 19, the shelter in place order and online learning has had on their daily lives.
