Class is now fully under way and, hopefully, all students have figured out how to find their assignments and grades. Most students seem comfortable contacting me with questions by email, phone, or text. Please encourage your students to utilize my help!

We also have extra help for the school year! The Peer Tutoring Center is available for all students. See below for instructions to log in to Upswing, the new way to connect with your Peer Tutor!

As always, parents may check on a student's status by logging in with the student and viewing current grades under "My Grades" of each course. I can also email out progress reports by request. Sometimes, these reports help students to find what they are missing if they are having trouble reading their gradebook.

The 3rd Quarter ends on Friday, 3/18! 3rd quarter grades will be made up of your scores from Units 1-8 and the Post Assessment. Please encourage students to catch up if they are behind! We have finished Unit 8 and have a few days to catch up.

1st Quarter = 37.5%

2nd Quarter = 37.5%

Final Exam = 25%

A little extra learning...

National Geographic has a great interactive version of Trajan's Column HERE. Trajan was the emperor of Rome from 98-117 CE, so he came after Augustus and his family. Trajan's Column was given to the city in 113 CE, and is covered in friezes (carvings) depicting his battles in Dacia (modern-day Romania).
