If you have any questions throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me.

1:1 Technology in Room 204!
Last year, East Maine School District 63 implemented a 1:1 teaching and learning environment using Chromebooks in Grades 5 and 6. Our classroom has the privilege of having our own cart that houses 30 Chromebooks, which stay at school and do not go home with students each night.
Click here to learn more about EMSD's 1:1 Chromebook implementation!
We have hit the ground running with using technology in the classroom! We began by going over our Classroom Technology Use Agreement Policy, where the students learned about the rules of the chromebooks and signed the policy to show they agree to follow the rules.
Here are some of the things we have already done and learned about:
- Classlink: Classlink is an easy way to access all the amazing resources our district offers. Students use it in the classroom on a daily basis and can also access it at home! Click HERE to see directions of how to access Classlink at home!
- Google Classroom: Google classroom is a paperless way for students to complete work and turn it into me! After we completed a Classroom Scavenger Hunt and Classmate Connection activity students were able to turn in their work to me!
- Seesaw: Students logged into Seesaw, an online digital portfolio. Their first post included a selfie and 5 adjectives to describe themselves! Don't forget to sign up so you can see your child's work in the classroom!
Seesaw - Student Driven Digital Portfolios
We are ditching our paper student portfolios and going digital! Seesaw is a new app we are using to share what your child is learning at school. Seesaw gives your child a safe space to document their learning and learn how to use technology. Each child gets their own journal and will add work to share what they are doing at school. When your child adds items, you'll be notified. Your child's journal is safe and secure!
How to Join:
- Choose your child from the list
- Create your account
- Once I approve you, you can see content from your child
After you sign up, download the free Seesaw Family app and sign in. You can also access Seesaw from a computer at https://app.seesaw.me.
Thank you for supporting your child's learning!
