Home Fire Safety
It starts as a haze–a thin fog you don’t expect. But in just two minutes, the air can fill with an acrid smell, thick black clouds, and raging heat. Home fires are disorienting, fast-moving, and incredibly dangerous–would you know what to do?
You’ll have to think fast. Often you may have less than two minutes to escape to safety during a home fire.
Are you prepared to escape from a burning building in less than two minutes? Find out:
You smell smoke, but no one else is reacting. You should:
A) Alert others of your concern and go outside right away.
B) Do nothing. If anything is wrong, other people will be looking around too.
Many people are unaware of just how dangerous a home fire can be. That’s why we launched Sound the Alarm, to reduce fire-related deaths and injuries. The more each of us know about home fire safety, the more lives we can save.
Kick off your own journey to becoming a home fire safety expert today and test your home fire preparedness now!
