Effect on Water
Large cities or "concrete jungles" are causing aquifers to not be replenished by rainfall. This causes the water to decrease and the aquifers will begin to dry up because they can't be replenished. If things are not changed then we will see many underground aquifers dry up because of the lack of care for the aquifers.
Effect on Land
The slash and burn technique is when trees are cut down and the stumps are burned to provide more room for farming. This is bad because it kills the nutrients in the soil. If this is allowed to continue then in the future they will solely rely on artificial nutrients from fertilizers which kill the soil.
Both of these impact the soil and the nutrients in the soil that allow life to be possible. The underground aquifers help the soil stay fertile but that won't matter if the nutrients are being burned so that they can't be made naturally. If these continue then we will see our usable land decrease massively.
Level 1: what is another name for large cities of concrete?
Level 2: why will suffocating the aquifers and the slash and burn technique massively effect the future generations?
