Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- Midterm grades are due in Tyler by COB Monday, September 18.
- NWEA make-ups will continue this week.
- Grade level collaboration meetings will take place this week: K-2 (Monday), 3-4 (Tuesday), 5-6 (Wednesday). We will meet in the conference room.
- Church of Resurrection tutors will begin Monday, September 18. Please make sure that you have individualized materials ready for your tutor when they arrive.
- School Smart KC Site Visit is Wednesday, September 20: please look for the schedule in your email.
- ACTION: At least one grade per week must be entered for each core subject.
- ACTION: Student work should be posted both in your classroom and on your outside bulletin board. Please ensure that when you post student work the standard and a rubric are posted as well.

Saturday in the Park
Our first Saturday in the park was a success. Thank you to all the staff members who came out and joined us. It was great to get to interact with our students outside of school, we all had a great time!

Instructional News:
- Alpha Kids & QRI data was due by Wednesday, September 13. Please make sure this data is on your data wall in our Google Drive: Data Teams folder.
- WEEKLY LOOK-FORS: Restorative Justice language and Student friendly objectives aligned to grade level based standards
Counselor Notes:
- PST Team meetings will take place each Friday morning. An agenda will go out each Wednesday, if you have a student on the agenda please make sure you are available at the designated time.
- Small group and classroom lessons will begin this week-- schedule forthcoming.
Restorative Justice Focus:
The 2×10 strategy is simple: spend 2 minutes per day for 10 days in a row talking with an at-risk student about anything she or he wants to talk about. There’s no mystery to the reasoning here, of course–the strategy builds a rapport and relationship between teacher and student, and lets the child see that you genuinely care about him or her as a person.
