From the Desk of Kathryn Barr, Head of School...

Greetings to each of you - our treasured alumnae from Cathedral High School, St. Joseph's Academy and Catherine McAuley High School! It was a pleasure meeting a number of you at September's Portland Alumnae Chapter Meeting at DiMillo's.

It is such a gift to be part of this incredibly warm and dynamic school. With each passing minute, hour and day, with each event that is experienced, and through each conversation that is shared, I can't help but be moved by the love and passion that defines this community. From our community service work to our community building, we are a family who cheers and supports, raises up and pushes forward. And as McAuley celebrates its 45th year of educating, inspiring and empowering young women, I am grateful for the gift of you, our extended community, and for the tradition of excellence that you began all those years ago. McAuley stands on the shoulders of some amazing women!

This new mode of communication - the CMHS quarterly alumnae newsletter - serves as a special tool designed to keep you informed and up-to-date on all things McAuley. Along with this newsletter, remember to access our other important sites from time-to-time for 24/7 information: CMHS's website, Facebook page and Twitter account (@mcauleyhs). And remember, share your information with us! Future editions of the e-newsletter will continue to feature our alumnae and the great work you're doing in the world!

I extend my thanks to you for your partnership, your generous support, and your endless contributions of time, talent and treasure. And during this season of thanks, I count you among McAuley's greatest blessings. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the days ahead.

Sincerely,

Kathryn Woodson Barr,

Head of School
