Director's Message

Hello William D. Ford Career-Technical Center Students, Families, and Staff,

Welcome back! I missed the energy of 1,000 students and 60 staff!

As we settle back into routines, I encourage every member of our learning community to remember the 4 pillars of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports system.

  • Be Safe
  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Engaged

Keeping these in focus will set us up for success in the second half of the school year.

Have a wonderful week.

With students in mind,

JaCinda Sumara

Principal, William D. Ford Career-Technical Center

Director, Career Technical Education and Early College

Student and Staff Success

Congratulations to our Students of the Week.

  • Alexis Crouch, Archtecture and Engineering Design
  • Alyssa Fuller, Teacher Cadet and Early College

Congratulations to Mr. Mark Batko, Automotive Technology instructor, on completing Evaluation Team Leader Training through the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation. The ideas and insights he gains from evaluating other programs will elevate the opportunities FordCTC offers our Automotive Technology students.

Congratulations to Dr. Cary Thompson, Firefighter instructor, on completing FAA107 Pilot and Instructor certifications. These certifications will allow FordCTC to use drone technology in our courses. Additionally, we will be able to certify students that have interest in pursing careers that would benefit from advanced knowledge of rules and regulations for drone use.
