Student Registration (NEW!!)
Every year, Klein ISD requires parents to update registration information (Age, Grade, and Registration-AGR) for each student enrolled. Updating student information regularly is vital to ensure correctness of Guardian information, emergency contacts, phone numbers, etc. This allows the district and campus the ability to respond in a timely and appropriate manner in case of emergency.
Klein ISD will be moving this yearly process to Skyward Family Access. This will replace the yellow AGR card sent home in the First Day packet of information. Annual online registration will be available July 24-August 19, 2017. To complete the registration process, please log into your Skyward Family/Student Access account and select the Student Registration button. Registration must be completed prior to your student receiving a schedule or teacher assignment. For detailed instructions click here. Video instructions coming soon.
Bus Information will be available after Aug. 14th by clicking here.
Carpool procedures see below:
AM Carpool: Morning drop-off is in the front entrance by the cafeteria (parking lot located closest to 2920) is for students needing to purchase a breakfast, buses, students enrolled in our Early Childhood, Developmental, and Pre-Kindergarten classes. For all other students please use the gym carpool for morning drop off. Gym carpool in the morning is just one lane. Please have students exit your vehicle on the sidewalk only.
PM Carpool: The front entrance carpool (parking lot located closest to 2920) is for grades 4th, 5th and their younger siblings. If you are new to our school or new to this carpool, parents create four lanes behind the color cones placed in the parking lot. We will load students by the lane closest to the street first. Each car lane is identified by a different color cone which corresponds with the same color cone on the porch. Student names are called and asked to line up behind a certain color. Please have your child’s name displayed largely on the yellow car hanger provided at the beginning of the year on your rear view mirror.
The gym carpool (PM Pre-K, Kinder, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades); we will be running as we usually have in the past, however, the first 10 cars in each lane will have their student’s names projected on to the wall in order to line these cars up immediately. Once the first 10 cars of each line are loaded and pull away, we will call names as usual. The outside line (closest to the parking lot) is called starting with the first car with roughly 10-15 cars down. We then begin calling the cars for the inside line (closest to the school) from the back starting near the curved portion of the street.
It would be much appreciated if you have your child’s name displayed largely on the yellow car hanger provided at the beginning of the year on your rear view mirror. Should you need an extra car hanger or a new one, please let us know-we have plenty available!
As always, thank you so much for helping us keep safety and order at the top of our list-especially during high traffic times such as dismissal.
Before and After School Day Care: If you are interested in Koala Kare for before or after school, please visit this link for more information.
Please assist us in the handling of custody related issues. It is the responsibility of the parents to provide the principal a certified copy of the court order affecting any other person’s right to their children. Should you have any questions please call Dawn Proctor at 832-484-7705.
