Stilwell Monday Message
Weekly Student and Family Communication
Monday - 10/26/2020
Last Thursday and Friday, students were issued an academic locker. Students do not have to use the locker if they do not want to. Students will be able to access their lockers before school, after school, and during our lunch break with permission. We are limiting access throughout the day to continue our strong mitigation strategies. We do ask that students continue to carry their backpacks with all necessary class supplies and that they clear their lockers every night before heading home.
Online students, you are welcome to stop by Stilwell during school hours to pick up your school pictures.
Just a reminder we will not have school on Friday, October 30th, and Friday, November 13th. These days were recently changed to support staff with additional learning, planning, and work time

Supporting Your Child's Online Learning
Virtual class; join us online!
One of the toughest parts of virtual learning is that it requires a whole new set of skills! As a parent, how can you best support your child as they navigate a new learning environment? In this class, we’ll investigate ways to set your student up for success! Topics will include setting and keeping a schedule, creating a conducive work environment, and how to help motivate your student. We'll also discuss how to figure out what isn't going well and how to improve it. Bring your questions, and prepare to leave with strategies and resources for a successful school year online!
Course taught by Abby Cunningham, WDMCS online learning coordinator. The class will be held through Google Meet and you just need wifi and a tablet, computer, or even a phone. A link will be emailed just prior to the start of class. Sign up now!

Parking Lot Protocol
We understand our parking lot drop-off and pick-up process can be time-consuming. However, we need all families to follow the procedures to ensure our students are safe. Please remember these guidelines:
- Do not drop off your student or stop for any reason along Vine Street.
- Do not pull into the bus lanes along Vine Street.
- Do not allow your student to exit the vehicle until you have pulled up to the curb in the parking lot.
- Please drive slowly through the parking lot and on Vine St.
Building Opening and Closing Hours
Each afternoon the building will close to students 10 minutes after the last bell. This would be 2:45 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and would be 2:00 on Wednesdays. We are asking that all students have left the Stilwell campus 20 minutes after the last bell.
