WMS Student Council is hosting a “Night in Paris” themed dance on Friday, November 17th from 2:30 – 4:30. Students should dress to impress. Think semi-formal clothing or anything that makes them feel their best, while of course following the school dress code.
Tickets will be sold for $5 during lunch from Thursday 11/9 through Thursday 11/16. THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS SOLD THE DAY OF THE DANCE. Activities at the party include gym games, bingo, a photo wall, face painting, inflatables and a dance! Concessions can be purchased in the cafeteria (pizza, snacks and pop) for $1 each.
After the party, students should be picked up at the athletic entrance by 4:30.
We need parent volunteers! If you are interested in helping with this event, we would LOVE to have you! Here’s the link to sign up: Fall 2023 Volunteer Sign up
We split the time into two sessions (2:15 - 3:30 and 3:30 - 4:45). You are welcome to sign up for one or both sessions. You will receive an email with more information closer to the dance. The more parent volunteers that we have the better :)

Boys Volleyball
Boys Volleyball will become a Minnesota State High School League Sport in the 24-25 school year during the spring sports season. During the 23-24 school year, Woodbury will host a boys volleyball club.
There will be an informational meeting for Boys Volleyball tomorrow Wednesday, November 8 at 3:15 in the Lecture Hall of Woodbury High School. The meeting will share preliminary information about Woodbury Boys Volleyball for the spring of 2024. The meeting is intended for students and not parents. A meeting at a later date will include parents. If you want to be on the emailing list for boys volleyball please fill out this form. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please make sure you have completed the form to receive communication.
General Information:
The league will be run through MN Boys high School Volleyball Association. Games will start the second week of April and playoffs will start June 3-7. Practices will start late winter, early spring, practice dates and times are not determined. Practice dates and times will vary based on gym availability. There will likely be Saturday practices as there is more gyms available. The number of players per team and if there will be cuts or not will really depend on the number of students interested. The league operates a varsity, Junior Varsity and a Junior Varsity 2 Team. Because this sport is still a club status for the spring of 2024 practices dates are not within a set period of time like all other MSHSL sports. In the spring of 2025, when Boys Volleyball is sanctioned and operated under the MSHSL, there will be more defined rules.
The cost of playing club volleyball the spring 2024 will be covered exclusively by the players due to the fact that this is a club activity. League fee, officials, coaches, uniforms and equipment (such as boys volleyball, not standards). Fees will be distributed among the players. The registration and fees will likely go through Community Education this year.

Setting Up Notifications in Schoology
Did you know you could set your Schoology Notifications up so that you can receive a message any time your child has a missing assignment? This will be beneficial for checking in with your student about their grades and helping them keep up to date with assignments.
Special note: You may need to set this back up this school year even if you had it set up last year.
Notifications are daily or weekly opt-in messages that notify parents, via email or text, of their child’s academic progress. Parents will be notified about homework, graded tests and assignments, recent activity, upcoming tests and other due dates.
Once you are logged into Schoology and you have connected to your child(ren) you can set up notifications.
NOTE: Notification settings affect all children so you only need to setup notifications for one child.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to your name at the top right
- Choose any child that you are connected to in Schoology
- Click the dropdown arrow next to your child's name at the top right, then click 'Settings'
- Click the Notifications tab and change the settings to your preference. Don't forget to click 'Save Changes'
