Homecoming Activities: October 13-17, 2015
Student Council is hard at work making plans for this year's Homecoming celebrations. You'll receive more information as the time draws near, but I wanted to share the outline of our plan so far so you can make plans to participate and answer any student questions you may get.

Hall Decorating & Portable Door Decorating Contest-Tuesday: October 13th
Each grade level will be assigned to an academic wing to decorate after school on Tuesday, and Class Officers for each class will lead the effort. Portables teachers may choose to participate in a Door Decorating Contest. Voting for both will take place on Wednesday with winners announced at Friday's pep rally. Portables teachers may choose to decorate themselves or choose a class to do it for them.
Homecoming Parade-Wednesday: October 14th
The parade will follow the same route as last year, basically circling the school. The event is expanded this year to include food trucks, vendor booths, and other activities for the hour before and after the parade itself. All campus groups, organizations, clubs, teams, and departments will be invited to march/walk/ride in the parade. Imagine your department creating and riding on a neon/glow-in-the-dark float of some sort while tossing candy to the masses. separate parade sign-up will follow shortly. Vendors set up 5:00-6:00, vendors open 6:00-7:00, parade at 7:00, quick yell-rally after parade, vendors close by 8:30.
Freshman & JV football games-Thursday: October15th
Raiders vs. Dragons Varsity football game-Friday: October 16th
Homecoming King and Queen crowned during halftime show. Come cheer the Raiders to victory! Alumni from Class of '13, Class of '14, and Class of '15 will be invited, so come greet students from the past. The game will be at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, 10211 West Parmer Lane, Austin, TX, at 7:00pm.
Homecoming Dance-Saturday-7-11: October 17th
Teachers will be invited to sign up to help chaperon the event. We'll have the dj, photo booth, Court recognition, concession (with foods that "glow"!!) provided by Cedar Ridge Culinary, and a break room for chaperons, and more! Tickets will be sold in the Armory student store in the week prior to the dance. Ticket price is $10, and students must clear all obligations before purchasing a ticket. Students who would like to invite a non-Cedar Ridge student will need to fill out the form in the front office and submit by the deadline for approval. That form is not in the office yet, but will be soon.
