Ocean Garbage Gyres

Ocean Garbage Gyres

The ocean is shared by many different nations. A lot of solid waste from ships or land can get into the ocean, and plastic pollutants. Its effects every single person.

Tragedy of the common's theory is how shared resources overtime become overused and then depleted. Even though tragedy of the commons is a theory, the Ocean Garbage Gyres relates to it because the Oceans have been a shared resource and no single person owns it, so its definitely been overused and abused, but not depleted yet.

The "key players" within this issue are the people/ nations/ cities/ corporations who have put trash and pollutants into the ocean. But there is also some places that have laws against leaving trash on their coastlines and they clean up what they can, and some people have started to recycle, use less plastic , and manage their garbage more.
