Principal's Message
Dear Wildcat Families,
Since I’ve arrived at CFT, I’ve noticed significant congestion in our parking lot during morning drop off. With support from the City of Tigard’s Safe Routes to School Coordinator, Hendrik Broekelschen, we’ve identified an alternate way to drop students off in the morning.
As you’ll see in the image below, vehicles approaching CFT from the NE on Pacific Hwy. can turn right on School Rd. just before O’Reilly Auto Parts rather than turing right on SW Walnut St. Then, taking a right on Grant Ave. takes you into a turnaround with access to campus for easy dropoff. Exiting on Grant Ave to the left, then left on Park St. provides for a left turn at the Park St. traffic signal right back onto Pacific Hwy. We ask that cars pull around and drop off here just as in our normal parking lot with no parking. We will have staff temporarily staffing this area to support both traffic flow and supervise students as they walk from the turnaround and into the gym.
Because of our afternoon pick-up routines, we ask that families refrain from using this area to pick up students in the afternoon.
We also ask that you’re mindful of our neighbors should you choose to use this route, moving at a slow rate of speed, watching for pedestrian traffic and avoiding parking on their property
Hopefully this provides for a quicker, more efficient and safer drop off process!
Have a great weekend,
Tim
Mensaje del Director
Estimadas Familias Wildcats,
Tim
