Class Placement
Each team needs to schedule a day to begin the class placement process. Please let me know when you would like to do that. I will have the SPED, 504, Dyslexic, and GT student lists for us to utilize.
Team leads, please verify who will be the GT teachers and who will be the inclusion teachers for your team.
Book Study: Home on the Range
I recently read a book that Annie Daly recommended to me called Home on the Range by Katherine Applegate about a young refugee named Kek.
This book gives us insights to a child's experience in coming to the United States and can serve as be a springboard for dialogue about our ongoing support for the refugees.
If you're interested in this topic and would like the read the book --stop by the office and pick one up ( I have ordered 20). It's an easy and quick read so we'll have an off campus book study evening at Shanna Riggsbee's house prior to the end of school. Date/ time to be announced soon.

Online Registration:
Teachers,
Thanks for working with your students' parents to get the online registration process completed! Nice work!
**A little over 500 students have registered online so far. **
All returning students will register online. You are only responsible for collecting proof of address for each. You can ONLY accept one of the following:
- Mortgage Statement
- Rental agreement with all occupants listed
- City of Austin Utility Bill showing residential address and parent name
(No cable bills, insurance bills, are acceptable. You will need to send these back and get one of the above.)
Please continue to work with those families that have yet to complete the process.
Thanks!
