Jeremy has joined the Capehart & Washburn team heading up the C&W log and timber home division - C&W are Independent Representatives for Log Homes of America .
Jeremy previously worked at log home manufacturer Log Homes of America for 5 years, gaining excellent hands-on experience with design work, quoting, construction expertise and sales of small cabins to million dollar lodges.
Previous to Log Homes of America, Jeremy represented over 60 of the top log home companies from around the country in his role as Executive Director of the Log Homes Council at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in Washington, DC for 7 years. In that time, Jeremy has gained his Certified Green Professional designation with NAHB, and is intimately familiar with ‘green’ and energy efficient design. Jeremy was also recognized by his peers in the log home industry with the Log Homes Council ‘Image Award’ by “bringing significant positive attention to the log homes industry and the members of the Log Homes Council.”
Having graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Eastern Canada with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry, his thesis work on sustainable forestry practices led him to working on the Sustainable Forestry Initiative program at the American Forest & Paper Association in DC. His experience before DC began with internships with Canfor in engineering, laying out logging roads and cut blocks in the rugged mountains of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. In addition, he interned with a small forest consulting company cruising timber in Oregon’s Cascade Mountains.
Jeremy is married with two young daughters. He enjoys custom woodworking, motorcycling, camping & mountain biking in his spare time.
