Visitor: Mr. Tobin Bechtel

Today, Mr. Tobin Bechtel will be visiting Halcyon. Mr. Bechtel is a possible candidate for the new Halcyon Director. You may see him in the hallways or he may visit your classroom today, so please remember to be your usual friendly and lovely selves!

Student Council

Student Council should meet in the Bob Shaffritz Library on the mezzanine floor at 10.30 for snack. If you are not sure where to go, please see Mia in the Office.

Taster Day student today - Duke for Grade 6Y

Duke will be visiting Grade 6Y today. Please make him feel welcome to Halcyon!

Open House - Friday 20 March @ 11.00

Calling all Halcyon Ambassadors. This Friday, we have an Open House for prospective parents. If you are interested in being a Halcyon Ambassador, please let Ms. Watson, Ms. Zago or Mia know!

Lunch-time: Homework Club

This is a gentle reminder that laptops and iPads should not come out of your bags or lockers until homework club starts (12.45). Students should not be on their devices at any point during lunchtime apart from during homework club when a teacher is supervising. Thank you.

Halcyon MUN: 18-19 June

We are pleased to announce that Halcyon Model United Nations will be held on 18-19 June. The theme of the conference will be ‘The World Post Millennium Development Goal (MDG)’. Halcyon will have eight delegates and 8 admin staff involved at the conference, these will be selected from students who attend allocated preparation session, which will start after the April break. We will also be accepting applications from Halcyon students to chair the conference and will be looking for four chairs and four assistant chairs. If you have experience of MUN and are interested in chairing you should write a two page letter of application to Gareth Jones outlining your experiences and skills that will help you successfully chair the conference. The deadline for chair applications is Friday 20 March.

Spring is on its way.... Who wants to go to the park @ lunch?

This is a reminder that all students are allowed to sign up to go to the park in the morning with Emily at reception by morning break.

This will only be available for days when off campus is not running, so today and Friday the park will be available.
